What is Project Management?
The term Project Management in today’s world has a wide and loose meaning, interpreted in many ways. Generally speaking, and by definition, Project Management is the practice of initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work of a team to achieve specific goals and meet specific success criteria at the specified time, often constrained by funding or staffing. The primary challenge of project management is to achieve all of the project goals to meet pre-defined objectives within the given constraints. The primary constraints are generally scope, time, quality and budget. Once the client’s objectives are clearly established they should influence all decisions made by other people involved in the project – for example project managers, designers, contractors and sub-contractors.
“My personal objective for all projects is to ADD VALUE, and produce an outcome that may otherwise not have been achieved in my absence. It’s about building solutions”.
My services may be appointed on an hourly rate or fixed price to a defined scope. The level of service remains flexible, subject to the project’s demands and nature, and my client’s requirements.

Project Management My Way…….
Every project is unique. It may be the systematic replacement of balcony tiles, a re-roof or road resurfacing programme, or it may be the design and construction of a major regional hospital. The common consistency within each project will be that each will have their complexities, and all require sound management and administration to achieve a successful outcome.
I allow my clients to dictate the level of Project Management services they require and will happily assist with the scope definition to align with the client’s expectations. I can provide all, or any part of, the services ticked below in line with the each client’s requirements. For me, it’s about bringing beneficial change and added value, to solve a problem before, or as it appears, and to co-ordinate a team that will meet the client’s objectives.
